A Legacy Carried Forward

After a thirty-two-year run, an insurance industry leading political action committee was dissolved.  This entity was not only the leading fundraising, grassroots engagement legislative & political voice for its parent company but for the entire Texas property & casualty industry. Its successes are legendary, while representing both companies and agents. Its accomplishments include:

• Turning back the mold crisis in the late 1990”s,
• Passing legislation creating Texas’ property and casualty insurance file and use rate filing system,
• Passing legislation banning the practice of “texting while driving” in Texas,
• Legislation creating TexasSure program to reduce the number of uninsured Texas motorists,
• Hail claims litigation reforms stopping the out-of-control trend of frivolous hurricane lawsuits,
• Electing pro-business industry friendly legislators & statewide officials.
• Successfully lobbying for a gubernatorial proclamation designating the insurance industry as an essential business during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On February 1, 2023, the Texas Insurance Professionals Political Action Committee (TIP|PAC) was established to continue the heritage of being the leading voice of the insurance industry.

Your Support Is Crucial 

As a member of TIP|PAC you instantly join an active group of like-minded insurance professionals whose goal is to influence the legislative, regulatory, and political processes. This impact is accomplished  through collective grassroots engagement and financial support. TIP|PAC members will develop personal and professional relationships with elected officials and candidates. As a member, you will receive timely updates on legislation, campaigns, and current events. Members will have an opportunity to attend events in your local area. Meet individually with your elected  officials. Your financial support to TIP|PAC will leverage your individual voice into a team committed to protecting and advancing your agency’s interest.

Funds are dispersed on a nonpartisan basis to both Democrats and Republicans. Contributions are based on issues that promote TIP|PAC’s legislative, regulatory, and political  agenda. All funds raised by TIP|PAC are dedicated to Texas specifics issues and elections.
